Hormuz crisis twist: Afghanistan finds oil reserves, begins extraction

Afghanistan has started extracting crude oil from a newly developed field in the Amu Darya basin in Jowzjan province. Officials say early production has begun from multiple wells, opening a possible new supply route for the region.
